Marketing with funding

You’ve no doubt heard of GoogleAds and if you haven’t check out https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/ . You can pay Google to place an advert for your business on relevant websites. If your site is about cars for example, you write ashort advert about your site, submit to Google and they in turn advertise your business on sites where relevant (other car sites, sites about engines etc). The more you pay the more exposure you get on the web. It’s really down to you how much you want to spend.

Banner Advertising, Skyscrapers and other types of online advertising are another option for you. If you create your own banner adverts, you can also advertise these on other sites. A lot of websites now have space “Advertise here”, where you can directly add your own advert. You simply contact the web-host and enquire about the cost. This is often a very effective way of advertising, as you have the control of knowing where your advert is – you know is targeted at the right audience. You can then monitor traffic from that particular source and decide whether it is worth continuing to use. (GoogleAds does not break this down for you, as they advertise on thousands of sites).

You can also use off line resources to promote your website, magazines, newspapers, trade-press - wherever you feel you would get the best response. Targeting again is key. Advertising your car website in a food magazine is likely to drive less traffic to your site than advertising in a car magazine for example.
