She's got new pictures and profiles on the same sites. I have worked out that her friend runs a local agency in Kiev.So I'm looking into this agency.I think that 100%of the girls this agency lists are scammers. Then they send to Natasha Club,Alice Agency,Russian Love Match. From Russia with Bride. Also First International. Also I'm sure that these agency's are aware of what is going on and are part of this scam. "

She replied on site 123. Correspondence started pretty easy going. Pen Pal-ish. No immediate demands.
Talked about life in Russia and her family,Father Mother and herself.
Asked to verify her address as I wanted to send her a gift. Sent above address.
Started getting expressive about affection. Asked me for my address.
I sent it. No problems. Said she had saved enough money and we should meet.
She Went to Travel agency and asked for "Quote" for air travel to Argentina.
Needed a Visa which cost U$120 but because coming to Argentina was so difficult to obtain visas (??)she needed to pay agency additional U$70.
Russians do not need visas for Argentina. Set the spark for me to not believe her or her story."

| Microsoft issues patch to fix IE |
|
Microsoft has issued a security patch to fix a critical vulnerability in its Internet Explorer browser it said has attacked over 2m Windows users.
The flaw is believed to have already infected as many as 10,000 websites.
The "zero day" exploit let criminals take over victims' computers by steering them to infected websites.
Microsoft's Christopher Budd said the software giant "encourages all IE customers to test and deploy this update as soon as possible".
He also said the threat lead Microsoft to mobilize security engineering teams worldwide to deliver a software cure "in the unprecedented time of eight days".

| Serious security flaw found in IE |
|
Users of Microsoft's Internet Explorer are being urged by experts to switch to a rival until a serious security flaw has been fixed.
The flaw in Microsoft's Internet Explorer could allow criminals to take control of people's computers and steal their passwords, internet experts say.
Microsoft urged people to be vigilant while it investigated and prepared an emergency patch to resolve it.
Internet Explorer is used by the vast majority of the world's computer users.
"Microsoft is continuing its investigation of public reports of attacks against a new vulnerability in Internet Explorer," said the firm in a security advisory alert about the flaw.
Microsoft says it has detected attacks against IE 7.0 but said the "underlying vulnerability" was present in all versions of the browser.
Other browsers, such as Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, are not vulnerable to the flaw Microsoft has identified.

| Don't Get Caught Out By Scam Adverts! |
|
This is about musical keyboards and other gear advertised in the small ads but it equally applies to any other goods or services.
I have noticed over the last few weeks an increasing amount of adverts for high end keyboards at exceptionally low prices. The most recent being a Korg Oasys 88 at a price of £1299! (It retails at near £6000) This was posted in www.gumtree.co.uk but no doubt has also appeared in other online publications. Another recent one was a Yamaha Tyros 2 for only £450!! (a correct price would be nearer £1400)
NEVER do a deal like this unless it's face to face, cash on collection and you can test the gear and NEVER go alone! It's not unheard of for someone to turn up to buy something only to be attacked and their money stolen.
There are a number of common schemes the scammers use to part you with your money. If the scammer is acting as the buyer they will often use the fake cheque scam. This is where they send you a cheque for the goods but usually for too much money. They will either say it was a mistake and ask you to refund the money to them or they will claim it is to pay their courier who will collect the goods from you.

| Fighting the scourge of scareware |
|
Microsoft and Washington State's Attorney General filed lawsuits against scam artists who frighten consumers into buying useless software.
"Scareware" merchants are accused of tricking computer users into clicking on pop-up alerts that claim their device is "damaged and corrupted".
They are then persuaded to buy software that corrects the non-existent issue by offering fake security fixes.
It is a "blatant rip-off of consumers," said Attorney General Rob McKenna.

| Aleksey Kanashin - Scammer |
|
I feel like such a fool for being duped by this guy for as long as I was, he is a very slick customer, I at least had to presence of mind to have him checked out by a private investigater before sending any money.
He is unlike most scam artists he does actually read your emails to him, he answers some of the content of your email to him but does not answer direct questions. Having not found him on any known scam databases I thought I would post here all that I can in order to help avoid someone elses heart, mind and bank balance from being damaged.
Below you will find his emails and pictures sent to me in the order they were received, along with a copy of the background check performed on him and a copy of his fake passport. He contacted through gaydarguys.com.

| Tinnitus Research - Sign The Petition |
|
To pass us in the street we would look like any ordinary citizen. Most of us are able bodied however inside our heads there is a war going on. It.s a war against tinnitus.
5 million of us in this country suffer from noises in our ears or head. For 800.000 it severely compromises our lives. Some have been know to take their own life, but of course this fact is rarely publicised. Tinnitus can be acquired from just an ear or virus infection, exposure to loud noise, hearing loss (deafness) ear or head injuries, diseases of the ear, emotional stress or a side effect of medication.
Anyone can get it whether you have good hearing or not. It is not an old persons condition.

After 2 weeks of emails he said he would like to visit, which I was agreeable to, so he then said he would be going to the travel agency to book flights and get his visa. The next day I received an email in which he informed me he did not realise it was so expensive. "

| Phoney Marks and Spencer email offer spreads like wildfire |
|
Bogus offer claims forwarding chain letter will glean hundreds of pounds in vouchers
IT security and control firm Sophos is warning computer users not to be duped by enticing email offers, following the rapid spread of a spoof chain-mail, allegedly sent by UK high street supermarket Marks and Spencer, in conjunction with Persimmon Homes.
The email promises at least £100 worth of M&S vouchers in return for forwarding the message on to at least eight people, and copying in a legitimate email address at British housebuilding firm Persimmon Homes. However, neither Marks and Spencer nor Persimmon Homes has endorsed the email and both advise recipients to delete it immediately.
The text of the emails reads as follows:
Dear all,
Marks & Spencers, in conjunction with Persimmon Homes, are giving away free vouchers. Marks & Spencers are trying word-of-mouth advertising to introduce its products and the reward you receive for advertising for them is free non-refundable vouchers to be used in any M&S store.
To receive your free vouchers by e-mail all you have to do is to send this email out to 8 people (for £100 of free vouchers) or 20 people (for £500 of free vouchers). Within 2 weeks you will receive an e-mail with your vouchers attached.
They will contact you through your e-mail address.

| Watch out for Petr@Kaskon.com |
|
credulo writes "It happened to me too. The emails were all the same from Petr (or whoever he is) as those that have now been well documented by others. Luckily, I didn't get as far as sending money but Petr had told me he was ready to leave for Moscow.
Having read other people's experiences, the demands for money were about to begin! This horrible encounter with Petr began Nov-07 and ended Jan-08. The cost to me was a broken heart.
Stupidly, I fell for him. Lesson learnt.
Added by original poster :
My warning titled "Watch out for Petr@Kaskon.com" refers to a person who after reading other victims comments appears to more commonly call himself Eduard amongst other names. Petr@Keston.com no longer exists! "
