This thread discusses the Content article: Could you be the next Tycoon?

I am a bit disappointed with the ideas shown on this show. The funky gardening kit is fun, although I have seen similar items in stores.
The contestants do not seem to be living up to Peter's top 10 tips for success - some of them appear to have little confidence, which is a key attribute if you want others to believe in your idea.

The show does highlight the importance of contacts and making a profit as soon as possible to help with the success of any company. Using personal skills and those of friends and family is invaluable to any budding entrepreneur. Networking and building up a list of reliable people and marketing platforms should be carried out with zeal and commitment.

Hey,

The show is still on - I saw it last night on itv2 at 9 (think it was a repeat of last week's show though)

This show turned out to be a bit of a flop! They cut the finale down to 30 minutes and appeared to have lost some episodes along the way.

I think the problem is, we didn't get to know the contestants well enough (like pop idol etc, where you see the recruiting take place) and we also didn't really see exactly what the guys were up to. Their success seemed to rely on Peter Jones's contacts
