Historically women have found it harder to get a head in the business world, I do think it is getting better and certianly have never felt I couldn't achieve my dreams because I am a woman! However, I did hear on the news the other day that experts think it'll be another 20 years until men and women (across all professions) will be paid the same.

All the more reason to set up a business yourself ladies!

Yep - OK, I'm not going to spout any political opinion here, but I did read a few weeks back that the coservative party (UK)launched a new campaign to highlight the "gender pay gap". July 17th was equal pay day - they have a website under construction at the moment. The idea is that users can post anonymous emails to their employers about it.
